An Open Letter...
LISTENERS,
So...im sure you have noticed a few changes here on the website.....
As to not keep any of you in the dark...we feel that it's best that we share with all of you ...what is going on at The Rainbow Podsquad Network....and what is yet to cum!
The following is an email which was sent by me to Corkey of "BadWeeds SF", Jenny of "The Pizzababe Goes Global Podcast", Anthony of "The AllTwinked Up Show" & Tom of "Deep Fab"
Sent today Friday March 24, 2005
Corkey, Jenny, Anthony & Tom:
After numerous conversations between Nick, Andy & I ...we have made
the decision that effective today Friday March 24, 2006 we would like
to take The Rainbow Podsquad Network in a different and new yet old
direction. So...we (Nick, Andy & AJ) feel that we really need to get
back to the basics and the core of what we started with back in August
of 2005. Which was to have fun, entertain our listeners,make our
listeners think in a different way, meet new people & play with our
tech toys...in our spare time. Therefore, effective today we will be
cutting the RPSN back to the orginal 3 members (AJ, Nick & Andy) and
will be recreating RPSN from the ground up.
I have not felt very into the whole podcasting thing for a few months
now...and this on top of the fact that due to work issues...I just
dont have the kinda time on my hands..that it takes to keep this thing
going with the current set up. I feel that I'm doing everyone an
injustice by not keeping up on things...doing
shows....posting...etc.... And I really like each and everyone of
you...and don't want to hurt or effect your shows or your personal
feelings in any way shape or form......so "I really feel that this is
the right thing for me to do at this time".
I want to thank all of you for being helpful, being a friend...and for
contributing to and believing in the RPSN and we will promote all of
you ...in our future endeavors in the podcasting and vidcasting
world....
We (Nick, Andy & AJ) will keep podcasting, vidcasting...blogging and
whatever else comes along...we are not going away...we are just going
to be doing what we have time for...what feels right...what is fun for
us ...and most importantly ...our listeners!
Please take down all Rainbow Podsquad Materials from your websites
ASAP including (banners, iTunes subscribe buttons, RSS Feed buttons,
show banners etc...ps: feel free to use your own show banners that was
created by Ms. Hipps or Tigger esp for the RPSN folks...and if you
would like to promote one of us..feel free..we will be promoting
you....we just don't want to confuse the listeners anymore than they
will already be !)
Again, I want to thank all of you for being a part of my little
dream...and I wish all of you the best of luck in the future ....I
will be in contact.....and hopefully back in the podcasting chair very
soon.

Any new RPS fans want to buy a RPS white ringer-style t-shirt or hoodie ? i have 2 of each, both size medium, half price.
I would leave a real, more relevant comment, but at the moment this is all that comes to mind. shock, awe, disappointment,let down, etc... I love you guys, but you're really fucking over the podworld.

I would be very curious as to know how we are (as you put it) "really fucking over the podworld". This is and was a decision that was not an easy one to make !
However, taking all things into consideration this was the best direction to take the RPSN at this time. Being a listener..I'm sure you already know that I have a very demanding fulltime real world career which takes up most of my time these days...therefore...I felt that I was doing an injustice to the RPSN and it's members, by not being around ...and not being able to have the time to be a good leader! Being a good leader and providing time, content and support has always been very important to me from the start. In addition, the RPSN was my dream which was made a reality thanks to all of the hardwork, determination and support made by "Nick, Andy & myself," as I stated in my email to the guys and which I posted on the website-after talking about it-we (Nick, Andy & I) reminded ourselves that this was all started as a way for us to have fun, meet new people, play with our tech toys, provide great content, make folks laugh and hopefully help them enjoy their day ...a little more than normal...and to bring our listeners together and provide them with one simple website, one simple RSS Feed, email address, iTunes Subscribe...etc..etc...
To make a long story short...."it grew a little fast..became way more complicated than planned, could sometimes be a tad DRAMA RIDDEN " and these are the things that we NEVER WANTED to happen and had never planned for !
We have loads of fabulous listeners who we love and are very thankful for.and we love everyone who was on the squad and we will keep right on supporting and promoting these folks (Corkey, Jenny,Tom & Anthony) in anyway that we can...we would NEVER do something to fuck ANYONE OVER! For you to make this statement goes to show how very little you know about how much hard work, effort, love and dedication has went into RPSN from day ONE! Just a few days before this decision was made public, you ask Nick and attempted to ask me...after several months of hinting around..if you could be a member of RPSN and Nick told you no...because of our plans of which of course you had no knowledge of ....you even went as far as to talk about this on your show and made sure that you put this topic in your show notes on qPodder as to try to make us look bad...that's rather SAD almost as sad as attempting to use drugs and drug usage as a means to promote your show !
Honey, I really was greatful for the help you provided with the forums and hosting them for us (which oh by the way...not one of us ask you to do) and I have always enjoyed talking to you, reading your emails and having you as a listener...however...I'm sorry but for you to feel that you have any right to judge Nick, Andy or me for the changes we have made in order for us to be happy and provide great shows for our fabulous listeners...is just wrong!
Shame on you for attempting to turn this into some bitchy ass drama queen event....and tell me that we are "fucking over the podworld" please....GET A CLUE! Stay out of other peoples business and worry about your own business and issues!
Focusing on the Real Listener and HIGHERTHINGS!
