AJ..You are so right when it comes to the hyper-focus gay men have with physical appearance. I have felt much you for a very long time. I knew long ago, I was not the prettiest flower in the bunch. But sadly, it did take me some time to have to admit that.

When I came out, I falsely believed that I would finally find a community that would accept me for just being myself. I thought this would be a community that would be free of judgement and negativity. Unfortunately, this was not the case. And in retrospect, I was naive to think everything was going to be wine and roses. Life is what it is. It took me some time, and some heartache, but I learned you have to love yourself and bring out your best qualities to share with the world. That is how you stay happy.

Wow, I'm feeling so Wanda Wisdom. When is the next AA meeting?

Anyways AJ...I think you're beautiful outside and in. You're funny as hell, that much I can tell you.
