The very ironic thing about River Phoenix's death is the fact that he really died in West Hollywood (Gay-Homo-Queer-Capital of Los Angeles area). The media widely reported that he died in the City of Los Angeles, but in actuality, he died in West Hollywood at the Viper Room. In fact, the Viper Room was located about a block north of one of West Hollywood's biggest gay nightclub, RAGE. It was rumored that River used to show up every once in while at RAGE. I never saw him there, but more than one of my friends reported he would appear there from time to time.
I think you should check out your updated review, BayState: http://www.DrTweeker.com/ ----- Bay State Radio on the Rainbow Podsquad 23rd January 2006
I tried to give a good review of the Rainbow Podsquad because I listen to them *all* the time… and simply because I didn’t happen to like one show of the eleven they offer, that show has took it upon themselves to piss me off, royally. I even said in my review:
"In all seriousness though there are some shows on the Rainbow Pod Squad which I don’t particulary care for. That doesnt mean that I don’t listen to them - because I do - however they’re just not my “cup o’ tea” you might say. I find Bay State Radio particulary boring, and seldom produced, and the same with Deep Fabulousity and the Viva LaWhore Show. Now, let me back up and say that since they seem to be seldom produced, that means I have probably only heard very few episodes of each - so that’s what my opinion is based on. After I have heard more of their shows, I might change my mind."
You can’t expect every person to like all eleven shows, right ? Well in their most recent show they took the first 30 seconds to insult me for my opinion. I was very respectful in saying what i felt of them, yet they could not have the decency to do the same. I won’t give them any more publicity than I already have so you’ll have to link to the feed of today’s show for yourself. But in the first 30 seconds they make rude comments about me, and then at about 12 minutes in andy has to utter another mature statement about me. Andy emailed me and asked me give them another chance and listen to some more shows, so thats what i did today, and thats the terrible shit i had to hear.
So my review of this week’s show of “Bay State Radio”: The sound quality is *horrible*, i had to increase the volume to 200% and then strain to hear it. The content was lacking. Rule #1 - Try not to piss off your listeners, it’s bad karma, especially when they’re trying to be fair and give you a chance. So what was good about this show(which was a videocast)? The intro. The intro to the video podcast was simply great, and very well compiled. Other than that DrTweeker recommends that you subscribe to the Rainbow Podsquad, but don’t waste your diskspace for BayState Radio, it’s one feed you won’t miss. -----
